Famous Cave in Halong Bay

We were on a private boat tour of Halong Bay. Some islands have cave and white sand beaches. We stopped at one of those called Thien Canh Son Cave. Besides the manmade steps, it looks just like other rocky islands. It’s hard to tell there’s a cave inside.

Our boat arrived there so early around 7am and this is what the cave looked like. But after breakfast around 7:30am, I looked at it again, “oh my god, where are those tourists come from?” It looked like they suddenly came up of nowhere, even the way up was already crowded. (⊙_⊙) This cave gets very busy with tourists. You have to walk up hill in line with everyone else.

It took me about half an hour to reach the cave entrance. ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ The entrance only allows one person to get in or out at a time. You have to be patient.  It’s tight in some places and small steps; not good with overweight people, I think.

But there’s also a broaden place too where you can walk anywhere you want. They put light-up all over the cave. Everywhere looks bright enough; don’t have to use flashlight.

The cave has balcony too so you can take a break before going back. (o^ ^o)

It is small cave; not too much to walk. However, on the way down at the right side, there’s another manmade stone steps which leads you to a small beach at the other side. The scenery is stunning.

A cave and beach are next to each other. Thien Canh Son Cave is worth a visit. ヽ(♡‿♡)ノ

The Unspoiled Beach in Halong Bay

The tender from Garden Bay Luxury Cruise stopped by at Ban Chan Beach for around 30mns. Ban Chan Beach means Foot Beach in English.

Once you get off the tender, you will be welcome by a couple of friendly dogs who don’t stop smiling and running around you. They didn’t let me touch but looked so happy sitting closely to these European. Do Vietnamese dogs like European people? (。╯︵╰。)

There’s a small beach next to the entrance. This is also part of Ban Chan Beach, but not the main one. Ban Chan Beach located at the other side of the mountain not far away from each other.

There are manmade step stones which are connected between the two beaches.  It was easy to climb up. Only 2 minutes walking up and down, you will finally see Ban Chan Beach.

It is not so popular among the other beaches in Halong Bay that is why it still looks clean and quiet. I seem to love it this way. Less people means less destroys. o( ❛ᴗ❛ )o

It was also a small beach, about 60 meters, I think ^^, but the surroundings were breathtaking. It was so cold in the evening; still these people looked like they enjoyed their swimming a lot. ヽ(o^▽^o)ノ

Deck with amazing views

Yumi is on the sundeck (◕‿◕)♡

I chose Garden Bay Luxury Cruise for traveling at Halong Bay. My room was on upstairs with a beautiful balcony. Though you don’t have balcony, you also can enjoy the scenery from the deck. On the sundeck, there are many wooden lounge chairs which you can lie down and watch the fantastic landscape as well as other cruise around.

I felt somehow the schedule was a bit busy; visited floating village, beaches and cave. I wish I had more time to relax and watch the surroundings while on the cruise at day time. Anyway, a whole night on the deck is yours. At night-time, the cruise was already far away from the mainland, only rocky island around. It was completely dark that you can see all the stars above you. It looked so clear and very near. (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡

The Tai Chi lessons took place on the deck. It was a bit small for all guests taking together especially big big European people. But it turned it out to be very fun. \( ̄▽ ̄)/ It started at 6am in the next morning with Tai Chi instructor who was also the cruise driver. He worked really hard. σ( ̄、 ̄〃)
