When to go to Koh Andet Eco Resort

From December to February is dry season in Cambodia, good time for travelers who want to avoid the rain.

I went toKoh Andet Eco Resort at the end of May which considered as a low season because it is beginning of rainy season in Cambodia, but I still recommend that it is also a good time to go.

It’s rainy season, but if it is not affected by storm or anything, it will not rain every day. The reason I like traveling on rainy season, because the scenery will look even more beautiful after the rain. Moreover, it is fruit season from May to July around Tatai river.

How to get to Koh Andet Eco Resort

From Phnom Penh to Koh Andet Eco Resort, it takes about 6 hours. Leave Phnom Penh on National Road 4 and turn right at Srei Ambel Roundabout on National Road 48. Keep going for about 130km until you reach the forth big bridge (known as Tatai bridge).

Next to Tatai Bridge at the left side, there is a small dirt road which leads you under the bridge to the pier where you get on a boat. It’s only 100meters away from national road to the pier.

For foreigners you can go by VIP minivan from Phnom Penh using Virak Butham Express Tour & Travel. Please ask the driver to stop at Tatai bridge station for you.

For Cambodian who goes by your own car, your driving will be ended there. You can park your car on the land next to the pier. There will be a guard look after your car 24 hours, so don’t worry, I also left my car there overnight.

If you don’t want to wait half an hour at the pier, you’d better inform the resort person before your arrival, so that they can arrange the boat for you on time.

Koh Andet Eco Resort offers you 24 hours boat pick-up service so you don’t have to worry if you arrive very late at night. It’s just that you will miss seeing amazing view on the way.

Koh Andet Eco Resort

Have you ever been to Koh Andet Eco Resort?

It’s such a peaceful place surrounded by breathtaking views of mountain, river and beautiful waterfall. It turns out to be the perfect hide out from noisy life and a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I stayed there overnight and I felt it wasn’t enough at all. I wanted to stay 1 or 2 more nights. For those who like remote natural places, I highly recommend you this accommodation.

It is located on Koh Andet Island, Tatai River, Koh Kong province which is about 280km from Phnom Penh to Tatai bridge (6 hours) and another 20 minutes by boat to reach the resort.
