Fruit season at Tatai River

I went to Tatai River in the end of May this year and it was good timing for fruits. The area is famous for pnheav fruit (called in Khmer and lansium arasiticum in English), also mangostana, rabutan, durain, pineapple etc. from May to July.

If you stay at Koh Andet Eco Resort during fruit season, you can enjoy picking and eating phneav fruits as much as you can since phneav trees there will be full with many fruits, and they allow the guests to pick and eat for free.

If you don’t like sour fruit, you can visit local village along Tatai River for other fruits where they’re naturally grown and the price is a lot cheaper compared to the mainland.

Taking a boat to Koh Andet island

After driving the whole morning from Phnom Penh, we continued about 20mns by boat to reach Koh Andet Eco Resort. My holiday had started once I got on the boat (*⌒∇⌒*). With this wonderful scenery on the way, my tiring from 6hours driving has disappeared.

They got a big boat with safe driver, and water is very still so nothing to worry about (*`▽´*).

Koh Andet Eco Resort

Have you ever been to Koh Andet Eco Resort?

It’s such a peaceful place surrounded by breathtaking views of mountain, river and beautiful waterfall. It turns out to be the perfect hide out from noisy life and a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I stayed there overnight and I felt it wasn’t enough at all. I wanted to stay 1 or 2 more nights. For those who like remote natural places, I highly recommend you this accommodation.

It is located on Koh Andet Island, Tatai River, Koh Kong province which is about 280km from Phnom Penh to Tatai bridge (6 hours) and another 20 minutes by boat to reach the resort.
